New horizontal CNC-controlled 4-head press
Profile-independent press for aluminium windows and doors: a high-tech collaboration between Soenen Hendrik and Samyn.
The name Soenen Hendrik was originally synonymous with high-quality machines for processing UPVC profiles. Today, however, we have a strong reputation worldwide in the development and production of automated, high-tech machining centres and production lines for windows and doors in UPVC and aluminium. A new horizontal CNC-controlled 4-head press now completes that aluminium story.

UPVC windows and doors have been produced fully automatically for some time, but aluminium systems still require a lot of manual work. Thanks to our advanced production lines combined with sorting machines and tipping tables, a large part of that production process can already be fully automated. However, demand is rising for a solution that can automate the next stage in the process, especially pressing. We did not take any chances and thought carefully about the functionalities such a system should include and looked for solutions to the weaknesses of other existing systems in the market. Our engineers worked closely with customer Samyn BV in Dadizele. Today, we are proud to introduce the result: an innovative, profile-independent horizontal CNC-controlled 4-head press equipped with 38 numerically controlled axes. This machine has already been in full production at Samyn BV for several months.

Any operator can start working with the machine immediately. One of the profiles to be pressed is scanned, causing the preparation table to adjust, then the automatic feed to the 4 heads follows and the corners are pressed fully automatically. Each head has 8 CNC axes, with extremely high precision, to deliver perfectly pressed corners. Pressed windows are performed fully automatically with a tilting table. When pressing doors, two press heads can be used to make a U-shape. The number of possible configurations of windows and doors is very large due to the large number of CNC axes.
Under the motto 'Going further, doing more', we have left nothing to chance with this machine either. The press parameters can be set and controlled individually for each head on the control panel screen . The result is perfect press quality with very stable pressed corners. As with our other systems, this machine is also based on a robust, uncompromising construction. The know-how is in the machine itself. All elements are pressed fully automatically and faultlessly. Thanks to this new development, the translation from UPVC to aluminium is now almost complete.
